Chrome is the recommended browser for the best experience using all of the ScanPower features, including direct printing with your DYMO printer. Where instructions refer to Firefox, please know that Firefox is NOT our recommended browser and we may not be able to guarantee and support its use.

DYMO Direct Printing, in conjunction with the Chrome browser, is the recommended printer set-up for ScanPower. DYMO Direct Printing allows users to print FNSKU labels from List or PREP & SHIP while bypassing the print dialog modal for maximum efficiency. This printer set-up is specific to ScanPower and different from the basic DYMO set-up.

Use the links below to install the correct driver for your DYMO printer. Additionally, be sure that you do not have more than one printer driver for your printer installed as this will result in ScanPower not detecting your printer.

Problem: Printer Won't Print

On Windows Machines

Verify that you have DYMO Connect installed. If installed, there will be an executable file named DYMO.DLS.Printing.Host.exe within the DLS working folder (normally found within the C:\Program Files (x86)\DYMO\DYMO Label Software folder on Windows).

This is the default printer software from DYMO. Type in the Windows Search Bar: "Dymo Connect Web Service" and open the app. (You may have to select "Run as Administrator" and enter the admin password if you are logged in to the PC as a sub-user.

This should start the web service and allow the link above to successfully connect and you will see the DYMO service icon in your system tray.

If at anytime during this process you get a notice of "an insecure connection" please trust that the connection is fine, click ADVANCED and then PROCEED or ADD EXCEPTION to continue on in the process.

If you get an error dialog saying: "Your process does not have access rights to this namespace..", you'll need to allow Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) access to the localhost via HTTP. Click on the Windows icon in the lower left (formerly Start) and type Command in the search bar. Right-click the Command results above and select "Run as Administrator". Next paste the following command into the prompt and press enter: netsh http add iplisten ipaddress=127.0.0.1:41951

Refresh your PREP & SHIP or List settings page and the printer should now be visible in your printer area. Select it and SAVE settings.

On Mac Machines

Verify that you have DYMO Connect installed. If installed, you should be able to find it in Application directory.

If the Dymo Connect software is not running in the system tray (typically in the upper right-hand corner of the screen), then it is necessary to start the web service.

Open the Applications directory and double-click on the DYMO.WebApi.Mac.Host icon.

This should start the web service and allow the link above to successfully connect and you will see the DYMO service icon in your system tray.

Refresh your PREP & SHIP or List settings page and the printer should now be visible in your printer area. Select it and SAVE settings.
