With the introduction of ScanPower REPORT, we are allowing you to track much more information relating to your business. To help you do this, we have introduced a new INVENTORY COST Upload feature that allows you to store more data for your items and to add more info for items purchased in the past.
Below are the items that the INVENTORY COST upload now supports.
In order to upload information, start by creating a spreadsheet with some or all of the columns listed above, making sure you at least have information for ASIN, MSKU and COST (other columns are optional and can be left blank). (Templates can be found here at the bottom of the page.)
For the columns that will contain dates, please use the format yyyy-mm-dd, especially for csv files. You may also use mm/dd/yyyy if you are going to upload the file in .xlsx format. ****Some spreadsheet programs will automatically change the format of your date after entering it. This should not affect the data underneath, and as long as you enter it with yyyy-mm-dd it should work fine.****
Please Note: If your upload does not contain Date Purchased information the date of the upload will be entered by default in REPORT as the Date Purchased. If any of the item has already sold you need to make sure that the Date Purchased you enter precedes the date the item sold in order for the sale to correctly correlate with the item in REPORT.
We recommend removing the Title column if it is included in your upload. This is not needed and can cause processing problems when titles contain certain hidden characters, which is common in the Amazon marketplace.
For sources, be sure to match the source name you set up when you went through the wizard, or it will create a new product source.
The maximum quantity for an item is 1,000.
As with other spreadsheet upload operations for ScanPower, please upload in either CSV or XLS format.
Click on the box or drag a file to the box pictured below to upload the file.
Once you upload the file, there will be a screen asking you to verify the columns are correct, do so, and then click OK.
Afterwards you will see the following message:
The items will be added to your INVENTORY MANAGEMENT screen, and any information pertaining to items already in your inventory will be added accordingly.
