This is a ScanPower settings issue. Below are directions for correcting this for iOS and Android.

iOS:

First you need to shutdown the app completely.

To do this :

  • Click the home button to return to the main screen

  • Double click the home button at the bottom of the phone

  • This will open a vertical list of running apps on your device

  • Find ScanPower and swipe up on it

  • Click the home button to return to the main screen

- Next, go to SETTINGS on the device

- Scroll down to SCANPOWER and click on that

- Make sure the HOST field is BLANK. Please NOTE, if the HOST field was already blank when you got the error enter the following text that is highlighted in yellow exactly https://unity.scanpower.com.

** (if you are in the UK the following link needs to be entered in the HOST field EXACTLY (everything in bold): https://scanpower.co.uk/)

Now restart the app and you should be good to go.

Android:

- Open your ScanPower app and click on the three vertical dots.

- Next click DEVICE SETTINGS.

- Within DEVICE SETTINGS click HOST. Make sure the HOST field is blank.

- Please NOTE, if the HOST field was already blank when you got the error enter the following text that is highlighted in yellow exactly https://unity.scanpower.com and then click OK.

- Now try scanning again.
