Box templates in Prep & Ship help sellers save time by reusing standard carton configurations — including box dimensions, weight, and packing quantities — across multiple FBA shipments. This is especially useful when shipping similar inventory regularly.

Below is a simple step-by-step guide to create, edit, or delete box templates during shipment creation.

Steps to Create or Update a Box Template

1. Create the shipment plan

  • Create a new shipment plan for the batch in Prep & Ship Amazon or continue an existing one

2. Go to Step 2 — Pack ( or step 3 : Pack)

Once you reach Step 2: Pack, you’ll see the section where carton packing details are entered.

  • Locate the Box Template dropdown

  • Click the dropdown menu

3. Open “Manage Box Templates”

  • Inside the dropdown, click 👉 Manage box templates

  • This will open the template management panel

4. Create a New Box Template

Inside the management screen:

  • Click Create new template

  • Enter details such as:

    • Box name (recommended: clear naming like Books Small Carton – 25 units)

    • Dimensions (Length × Width × Height)

    • Box weight

After entering details:

✅ Click Done

5. Update an Existing Template

You will see a list of previously created templates.

  • Select the template you want to modify

  • Edit dimensions, weight

  • Save changes

6. Delete a Template (Optional)

  • Select the template

  • Click Delete

  • Confirm removal

7. Apply the Template

  • Click Done to close template management

  • Select your template from the dropdown

  • Continue packing and proceed with shipment creation
